One of the things I love about crocheting the most is its "portability". It is sooo easy to take the piece of crochet you're working with you wherever you go! I never leave home without an unfinished piece in my bag somewhere. It is perfect for those lost moments waiting for something (train, bus, car, plane!) or to work on during conversations with people (especially boring ones...) or just zone out and relax a bit wherever you are.

My friend is an avid crocheter ánd train traveler and she is the one that introduced me to her "traveling crochet hook" :-) And I was immediately sold! So now I'm introducing yóu to: "the Friend of the Traveling Crochet Hook" a.k.a. mine! Here's some photographic evidence that my crochet hook has seen a bit of the world!

crochet on the plane

Isn't it miraculous that I've been able to take my crochet hook on the plane EVERY TIME thus far? I even can "smuggle" small scissors on board for snipping the yarn! Flying with budget airlines (like I tend to do...) is boring - no entertainment or food provided - so I bring my own! It's remarkable how time flies on board (or waiting in the terminal!!) when you're crocheting. These times are sometimes the only times I get to crochet uninterrupted for hours on end. I love it!

crochet on holiday in the south of spain

And here I'm crocheting in the tropical climates of southern Spain! It's a tough job, but somebody's gotta do it! :-)

I'm looking forward to crocheting on the road this year as I have booked some awesome trips! Hope you get to go somewhere nice too and crochet your little hearts out!

Happy Crocheting!
